Hey folks! We have an update, we’re still here, we still want to do this and we still want it to be right! We listened and had another go at sorting a logo for our business with a furry artist (absolutely no Fiver or AI involved whatsoever!) and we hope you can all find it in your hearts to hear us out and give us a chance!
We’ve been really lucky to have found an amazing artist to help us and while they’ve been creating we’ve been busy bees trying to get things sorted behind the scenes, however we still have a fair bit to do an you’ll probably see our website is nowhere near there yet! Don’t worry, we’re working on that too, but we wanted to keep you all posted so when things do start changing it’s not too much of a surprise!
New Logo!
So athough we set out to get a new logo, we ended up developing a whole new character to represent the business (yeah, we didn’t want to come across as egotistic or anything using the three of us on a logo and it’s supposed to be more about our community and friends rather than just us!). So we want to introduce you to Buzzley!
Buzzley is a new character who’s going to feature as the logo for Furry UK but we’re hoping they’ll also have a lot of positive future potential too. The concept of Buzzley came from discussions we’ve had with each other, with the artist and with a few friends too so we hope this helps explain where we’re coming from and what we’re trying to achieve.
Buzzley is a non-binary character with the pronouns they/them. They’re part bee because of our location based in Manchester where the bumble bee is regarded somewhat an iconic symbol of the region. Buzzley is also part canine as we have canine fursona’s and we thought it’d be interesting to have a Bee/Canine hybrid! Buzzley also has rainbow antennae and a pride pattern in their wings as we wanted them to be as inclusive as possible. You might also notice they have hexagonal pupils in their eyes too, this is from the Bee element considering the shapes found in honeycomb and that’s also the intention with their eye and mouth colour too!
So we hope you all like Buzzley! Buzzley has been brought to life by Azshara Kletete who is a Slovakian artist and you can find her website at www.kletete.eu where she takes commissions and has all her terms and contact details. Azshara kletete’s artwork really brings Buzzley to life and makes them look absolutely adorable so we really hope you can give her and her friends a follow!

So some of you may also have questions about Buzzley as a new logo, the artist, money, did we think of the legal bit and such…..well the answer is yes, we did! Like we said, we want to make sure we do things right this time! So we have spoken to Azshara kletete about everything. We’ve been completely open about why we needed a new logo, what we want to do and how we intend to do it. We also looked at the law and how art and intellectual property works across the UK and Europe and discussed this with Azshara kletete too. We’ve got full permissions and rights to be able to use their likeness of Buzzley in the ways we want to and we’ve also insisted on paying a royalty to Azshara kletete for every time we sell anything with Buzzley on!
